Green Card–2025: The largest number of places went to Uzbeks

The results of the 2025 US Green Card (DV-2025) lottery have been announced. Out of 55 thousand permanent resident visas, more than 5.5 thousand went to Uzbeks - this is the highest figure.
The consular center in Kentucky registered the winners. The program is intended for countries with low immigration rates and is based on section 203(c). 131 thousand people were included in the initial list, as not everyone may complete the subsequent stages.
Due to a technical error, Uzbekistan was listed in the European region. In fact, it is in 1st place among Asian countries. Iran and Afghanistan are next in line.
Residents of the following countries are not eligible to participate in the DV-2026 lottery: India, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Mexico, the Philippines, Nigeria, and several other countries — because more than 50,000 people from these countries have immigrated to the United States in the last 5 years.
