Experts assessed the situation with grapes in the markets of Tajikistan, and also made forecasts for the restoration of adequate prices for the fruit

The markets of Tajikistan recorded a record increase in prices for grapes.

This was reported by analysts of the EastFruit portal.

Thus, the shelves of Tajik stores are very limited in the assortment of grapes: there is a late variety of “toyfi” and a small amount of “husayni”, “pobeda” and “lady finger”.

Such a shortage of this fruit has never been noted in the republic, analysts said.

According to experts, the situation is related to severe frosts, due to which farmers lost most of their harvest.

It is noted that they tried to solve the problem by importing from Uzbekistan, but the situation there was no better.

According to experts, restoring the production of the fruit, as well as reducing its price in Tajikistan, will take about 3 years.

In Sogd they named the reason for the rise in price of grapes

Earlier, winegrowers of the Bobojon-Gafurovsky district stated that the shortage of grapes on store shelves in the republic was due to damage to the harvest due to severe frosts.
