A 76-year-old Kazakh man who set a walking record has walked to Paris and been awarded the title of “Honorary Sports Worker.” He started his journey in Belgrade on March 3 and covered nearly 3,000 kilometers in 53 days through Serbia, Hungary, Austria, Germany and France. He was met in Paris by diplomats and UNESCO representatives.
Now the grandfather plans to walk across the United States, from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. His main goal is to cover 40,000 kilometers and enter the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest walker.
