Gold and Silver Coins Issued to Mark the 35th Anniversary of Independence

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has put commemorative gold and silver coins dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence on sale.

The collection consists of three coins featuring the Independence Monument, the Center of Islamic Civilization, and the number “35.” The coins reflect Uzbekistan’s historical heritage, national symbols, and modern development.

The coins are made of 999.9 fine gold and silver. Each coin weighs 31.1 grams and has a face value of 100,000 soums. The initial mintage of the gold commemorative coins is 450 pieces, while the initial mintage of the silver coins is 800 pieces.

Since August 27, the coins have been available for purchase at 690 branches of commercial banks, either as a complete collection or individually.
