German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is expected to visit Uzbekistan as part of his official tour of Asia. He will be accompanied by his wife and a business delegation. According to reports, the president's 5-day trip will take him to Indonesia, the Philippines and Uzbekistan. The meetings in Tashkent are expected to discuss issues of skilled labor migration between Uzbekistan and Germany. Steinmeier will also visit the Tashkent branch of the German construction company GP Günter Papenburg.
