Generation Z is the unhappiest generation

Recent research has shown that Generation Z, aged 18–29, is the unhappiest generation in history. Researchers from Harvard and Baylor University studied more than 200,000 people from 22 countries and found that happiness and life satisfaction have declined significantly among young people. The study was published in Fortune magazine.
Previously, people experienced their happiest period in youth, then declined in middle age and rose again in old age. Now this “happiness curve” has flattened: young people are losing their sense of joy earlier and it takes a long time to regain it.
According to researchers, Generation Z complains of anxiety, depression, financial difficulties and a lack of meaning in life. Many feel lonely, worthless and unsure of their future. Scientists say that this is due to societal pressures, political uncertainty and a constant stream of negative news. If this trend continues, the concept of "happy youth" will have to be reconsidered.
