Gasgo Oil Fined for Damaging the Reputation of the BYD Brand

Based on a complaint from BYD Uzbekistan Factory, the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection conducted an inspection of Gasgo Oil and imposed a fine for using materials in social media advertisements that discredited the BYD brand.

According to the committee, these actions violate Article 16 of the Law “On Advertising,” which prohibits denigrating or disparaging the goods or services of other parties in advertisements.

A special commission formalized the case, imposed the fine, and issued a mandatory order to eliminate the violation. Organizations that disagree with the decision have the right to appeal to the appellate council or take the matter to court.
