Gas Erupted at the Baysun Field - Ministry of Energy Explains

On the morning of May 5, gas with a high hydrogen sulfide content erupted under pressure from well 202 of the Mustaqillik-25 field. According to the Ministry of Energy, the gas flow was burned under control.

The scene of the incident has been cordoned off by security services, and all necessary measures are being taken. Currently, the mine area is under the control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Sanoatkontekhnazorat, and special paramilitary groups.

The official report notes that the gas leak does not pose a threat to nearby settlements.

We would like to remind you that a similar situation was recorded in the same well on March 27, and on April 22, the fountaining stopped and a weak gas flow (griffin) was observed. Foreign specialists were also involved in the elimination of the accident.
