Funeral held in absentia for Sayyora Ergashaliyeva, who was brutally murdered in Istanbul

A funeral prayer was held in absentia for Sayyora Ergashaliyeva, an Uzbek woman who was brutally murdered in Istanbul, Turkey, on February 26 at a mosque in the Şişli district. The ceremony was attended by the deceased's parents and members of the public.
Sayyora's father expressed confidence in the Turkish justice system in solving the crime and punishing the perpetrators, and said he wanted the murderers to be punished to the fullest extent.

It turned out that in January in Istanbul, two Uzbek women - Durdona Hakimova and Sayyora Ergashaliyeva - were stabbed to death and their bodies were dismembered. Three suspects have been detained. According to the investigation, Sayyora was first killed, and then her friend Durdona was also summoned and executed by sending a message on her phone.
To date, Sayyora Ergashaliyeva's body has not been found, and investigations are ongoing.
