Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship to be Introduced in Uzbek Universities

Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, fundamentals of entrepreneurship will be taught in all higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. The goal is to teach students business skills while they are still studying and support their entrepreneurial initiatives.
Students will also be involved in startup projects, spin-off companies, and practical projects. The practice of defending graduate theses at employer companies will also be introduced. Career centers will be fully operational in higher education institutions, and their effectiveness will be assessed through the “Graduate Quality Index.” The 20 universities with the highest results will be allocated 500 million soums.
Hundreds of job fairs and meetings with employers are also planned to be organized throughout the year.
