Prices for fuel and lubricants, in particular Ai-92 gasoline and diesel fuel, remain stable in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

Prices for fuel and lubricants in Kyrgyzstan, as noted in the department, depend on the prices of oil refineries in Russia. But they are not directly related to domestic prices in Russia, both wholesale and retail. In addition, in Kyrgyzstan, prices on the fuel and lubricants market are formed by entities independently, based on market conditions, i.e. supply and demand, without state regulation.

As a result of the work carried out by the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the IEC of the Kyrgyz Republic together with the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan and relevant state bodies, prices for fuel and lubricants (Ai-92 and diesel fuel) remain stable.

The Ministry also stressed that the world market of oil and petroleum products is currently characterized by higher prices.

"Fuel and lubricants are an exchange-traded commodity, which is why prices directly depend on stock quotes and prices at Russian refineries. Fuel and lubricants are mainly supplied to the Kyrgyz Republic from Russian refineries: Omsk, Orsk, Angarsky, Bashneft. The Kyrgyz Republic remains import-dependent in this market, " the Ministry of Economy explained.

At the same time, the agency provided average comparative prices for fuel and lubricants in the EAEU member states as of October 24, 2023, in som/l (at the NBKR exchange rate as of October 24, 2023).
