ASTANA, August 25 - Sputnik. Intermediate results of the fund's work were announced in the government on the eve of the President's message to the people of Kazakhstan.

Thanks to the funds of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation (To the people of Kazakhstan - Sputnik), today 324 Kazakhstanis with severe life-threatening and orphan (rare) diseases receive medicines worth more than 24.9 billion tenge, 20 patients were treated abroad in the amount of 585.1 million tenge .
In addition, 4 early intervention centers were opened at the expense of the fund in four regions, the government added.
Education
This year, students from socially vulnerable groups received 850 grants. In 17 regions of the country, 17 rural pivotal schools were put into operation, in each of which a complete renovation of the material and technical base was provided. Work on 63 more schools in 17 regions continues.
Sport
Over the past year, thanks to the fund, 24 sports halls were opened in the villages of the country, and 76 more halls, covering more than 15,000 children, are planned to be opened in the coming years. Pre-fabricated modular sports halls will be installed in the regions at the expense of the fund.
Innovative prostheses were donated to 96 children and young people in the amount of 931.9 million tenge, sports and running prostheses were made for ten para-athletes at the expense of the fund.
"The country's first running school for paraathletes has been launched, 4 centers for children with autism and other mental disabilities have been opened," the government added.
The amount of only charitable contributions amounted to 156 billion tenge, excluding funds transferred from the National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna". Which, by the way, according to the results of last year, sent 66.6 billion tenge to the fund "Kazakhstan halkyna".
Recall that President Tokayev instructed Samruk-Kazyna to annually transfer at least 7% of its net income to the Kazakhstan Khalkyna public fund.
