The average monthly wage in Uzbekistan in January-June was 4.3 million. The most monthly recipients are employees in the banking, finance and insurance industries. Their average salary was Rs 12.4 crore. The salaries of medical workers as well as representatives of the education sector remain the lowest compared to other sectors.According to the first half of 2023, the average monthly nominal salary in Uzbekistan was 4 million 332 thousand soums, with a growth rate of 22% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. This is reported by the statistics agency.The highest average monthly wage was recorded in the regions of Tashkent City (7 mln 16 thousand), Navoi (5 mln 687 thousand) and Tashkent Region (4 mln 368 thousand), and the minimum was recorded in the regions of Kashkadarya (3 mln 197 thousand), Samarkand (3 mln 227 thousand) and Surkhandarya (3 mln 254 thousand). During the reporting period, the level of nominal wages in only three administrative regions (Tashkent city, Tashkent and Navoi regions) was higher than the average in the Republic, and in all other regions this figure was formed by different amounts below the level of the Republic.
In January-June 2023, data from 3 million 90 thousand employees was used in the calculation of the average monthly salary. Of this, 37.9% was for education, 18.5% for industry, and 17.1% for health care.
In the first half of this year, the highest average monthly salary amount in the sectional area is:
● in banking, insurance, leasing and credit intermediary activities-12.4 million;
● -9.5 million soums in information and communication;
● in the field of transportation and storage-6.4 million soums;
● in the industrial sector-5.4 million soums;
● in the construction sector-5.3 million soums;
● in the field of trade-4.8 million soums;
● in the field of living and catering services-3.9 million soums;
● in the field of art, entertainment and Recreation-3.6 million soums;
● in education-Rs 3 crore;
● in the field of Health and social services – 2.9 million soums.
