France bans children under 15 from using social media
The French Parliament has passed a law restricting the use of social media by children under the age of 15. Under the new rules, starting September 1, children younger than 15 will no longer be able to create new social media accounts.
Social media platforms will be required to introduce special age verification systems for users. In addition, existing accounts belonging to users under the age of 15 must be deleted within four months.
