Forest fires in France reduce more than 100 homes to ashes
More than 100 homes have burned down following intense forest fires in the town of Le Porge in southwestern France. The flames have engulfed forests and natural areas. Thousands of firefighters, along with specialized equipment, aircraft, and helicopters, have been deployed to extinguish the blaze. As a safety precaution, approximately 220,000 people have been evacuated from their homes. No figures regarding casualties or injuries resulting from the fire have been released so far.
