Forest Fire in Kazakhstan
On May 3, a forest fire broke out in the Ulan district of Kazakhstan. The fire reportedly occurred within the Primorskoye forestry area, near the Ayuda Gorge on the Bukhtarma Reservoir.
According to the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations, firefighting efforts were complicated by the mountainous terrain and strong winds. A rescue helicopter was dispatched to the scene, discharging 21 tons of water over seven trips to extinguish the flames.
Currently, no active fire sources have been reported. Forestry workers and units from the Kazakhstan Department of Emergency Situations remain on-site.
