The authorities of the Khatlon region reported that 48 foreigners were fined for violating the rules of stay in the region

In the Khatlon region, cases of administrative offenses have been initiated against foreign citizens.

This was reported by the Farazh portal with reference to the Department of Migration Service for the Khatlon Region.

Thus, 48 foreigners were fined for illegal stay in Tajikistan. The amount of recovery amounted to 67.5 thousand somoni.

According to the head of the regional migration service department, Azizoda Bahadur, over the 8 months of 2023, 24 citizens of Moldova, 16 of Uzbekistan, 4 of Pakistan, 2 of Iran and 2 of Armenia were punished.

Azizoda noted that as a result of control activities, a total of 48 cases of administrative offenses were identified.

The rights of migrants from Southeast Asia were proposed to be equalized with the EAEU

According to him, this figure is 36 more cases compared to the same period last year.

He added that the state budget received almost 67.5 thousand somoni, which is 51.5 thousand more than in 2022
