For the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, a female karate athlete becomes world champion

At the World Karate Championship being held in Cairo, Egypt, Uzbek athlete Gulshan Alimardonova won the gold medal. She defeated all her opponents, won in the final as well, and thus became the first female karate athlete from Uzbekistan to become a world champion.
