It is noted that OJSC “Uzbekgidroenergo” for the first time in Uzbekistan on the basis of Public-Private Partnership (DSC) puts on a qualification request tender with a total capacity of 46.6 MW, an annual average production of 179 million kWh and a total cost of $ 106.9 million — 5 projects “Qizildaryo”, “Suvlisoy”, “Dukentsoy”, “Qamchiq” and “lower Koksuv” GES as a single lot.

GES, which are planned to be built on the basis of the DSC, are addressed by foreign consultants with high qualifications at the expense of the “institutional capacity building” grant funds from the World Bank.

In particular, Synergy Infrastructure and Financial Advisory Services Inc was tendered as a financial advisor, Dolsar Engineering as a technical advisor, and UNICASE as a legal advisor, and contracts were signed with these companies.

These companies work to coordinate project documentation to international standards. The transfer of tenders through a single lot simplifies the implementation of the projects, optimizes the process and is used to ensure efficiency and transparency.

“The use of the experience of foreign companies in ensuring the long — term financial stability and viability of projects, in the development of projects on the basis of the highest engineering standards with full use of Natural Resources, in the legal regulation of all aspects of the construction process, serves to guarantee the activities of investors,” the message said.

OJSC "uzbekgidroenergo" as a customer invites all interested domestic and foreign investors to take an active part in tender sales at the launch of these projects. Tender sales are scheduled to be released on lot in August 2023.

Uzbekistan produced 5.8 billion kWh of electricity in the Republic during may. This is 285.4 million kWh or 5.2 percent more than in the corresponding period last year. 5.3 billion kWh of electricity was also supplied to the consumers of the Republic. This figure is 514.6 million kWh or 11 percent more than in the same period of 2022.

In surkhandarya, it was said that if high-concentration GES came into operation, 1,560 jobs would be created, and more than 850,000 households would be electrified. Also, two districts of Andijan province had launched new micro-GES on June 16.
