For the first time, 8 million tons of grain were grown in Uzbekistan

In order to increase yields, instead of biologically outdated varieties, the area of 12 (of which, 8 domestic) autumn wheat varieties with a new high yield, resistant to adverse weather conditions was expanded to 585 thousand hectares. 

At the same time, the average yield in the Republic was 71-73 centners, while the book, Shahrisabz, Yakkabog, Uchkurgan, Pop, Turakurgan, Mirzachul, Pakhtakor, Qamashi, Norin, Altinsoy, Sariosiyo, Denov, Jarqurgan, Kumqurgan, Muzrobod, Termiz, Mirzaabad, Okoltin, Saikhunabad, Syrdarya, Buvayda, Dangara, Quva, Oltiariq and 76-80 centners in the Furqat districts. Some farms achieved yields of 95-100 centners.
