On February 25, a BMW car driven by a minor named Doniyor Turgunov hit a traffic police inspector, Hosilbek Eshnazarov, on Nukus Street in the Mirabad district of Tashkent. Junior Sergeant Hosilbek Eshnazarov, who suffered serious injuries, later died in hospital. The video of this tragic accident went viral.
A criminal case was opened in this case, and Doniyor Turgunov was taken into custody as a precautionary measure.
According to the presidential decree, the deceased Hosilbek Eshnazarov was awarded the "Courage" medal. His family was given a 3-room apartment in Tashkent.
