On June 20, floods occurred in Sylhet region in the north of Bangladesh. About 900 villages were flooded. Disaster response teams have been dispatched to the region. Schools in the areas were turned into shelters for evacuees.
As a result of floods, more than ten people died, about 1.8 million people were affected by the flood. It is expected to rain again in the coming days.
