Fire breaks out at Brazil climate conference 

A fire broke out at a pavilion at the UN COP30 climate conference in Belém, Brazil. Firefighters extinguished the flames in six minutes. According to official figures, 13 people sought medical attention for smoke inhalation. Brazilian authorities said the fire was likely caused by an electrical fault, either a generator or a short circuit.
The conference site was temporarily evacuated after the incident. The area has since reopened after an investigation and talks are continuing, but access to some pavilions is restricted.
