Fire at a bar in Thailand: 27 dead
A major fire broke out on July 12 at a bar in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Thai official Anutin Charnvirakul reported that 27 people lost their lives and more than 60 were hospitalized as a result of the fire. Eight of the injured are said to be in serious condition. Preliminary assessments suggest the incident was caused by a short circuit in an electrical panel. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
