Finnish Man Crowned World Champion in Air Guitar

A 25-year-old Finn, Aapo Rautio, has been crowned the World Champion in Air Guitar.
He took first place at the championship held in Oulu, Finland, thanks to his convincing performance and powerful energy.

Rautio had previously reached the finals in 2022–2024 but claimed victory only this year. Performing under the stage name “Angus”, he “played” a song by Avenged Sevenfold.

Since 1996, this annual competition has been held in the Finnish city of Oulu. Participants showcase creativity and charisma by “playing” an invisible guitar.
The event’s motto: “Make air, not war” — “Create good vibes, not wars.”
