Fines for Wearing Clothing Resembling Military or Departmental Uniforms
The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis has approved, in the first reading, a bill establishing administrative liability for the introduction or use of uniforms that bear a confusing resemblance to official military or departmental service uniforms.
Under the bill, the use of clothing that mimics the official military or departmental uniforms of state bodies—specifically by replicating their distinctive insignia and symbols—is prohibited.
It is noted that such clothing can mislead citizens, undermine the authority of state bodies, and enable individuals to abuse public trust by posing as state officials.
For now, the bill has been adopted in the first reading.
