Fines for excessive noise to be increased in Uzbekistan

Fines for violating noise standards in Uzbekistan are set to increase. The relevant law was signed on September 9.
Under the new regulations, individuals violating domestic noise standards will face fines ranging from 1.32 million to 2.2 million soums for a first offense, while officials will face fines of 4.4 million to 6.6 million soums.
If the violation is repeated within a year, the fine for individuals will increase to between 2.2 million and 3.08 million soums, and for officials, to between 6.6 million and 8.8 million soums. Drivers operating vehicles that produce noise exceeding established limits will be fined 440,000 soums.
Additionally, creating excessive noise is prohibited between 23:00 and 07:00 on weekdays, and between 22:00 and 09:00 on weekends and public holidays. The law enters into force on December 11, 2026.
