Father Who Killed His One-Year-Old Daughter in Fergana Sentenced to 17 Years in Prison

In Fergana region, a man responsible for the death of his one-year-old daughter has been sentenced. On January 13, the Kokan City Court for Criminal Cases found him guilty of intentional murder and sentenced him to 17 years in prison.

The incident occurred on September 11, 2025. The man, born in 1995, during a family quarrel, sought to take revenge on his wife and injured his one-year-old daughter with a kitchen knife. The child was taken to the hospital but died from severe injuries.

According to the court ruling, the sentence will be served in a general-regime correctional colony, with the term starting from September 12, 2025. The defendant’s remorse was considered a mitigating circumstance.
