The Prosecutor General's Office reported that as a result of operational measures, a person who introduced himself as an employee of the prosecutor's office and exploited the trust of citizens was arrested.
He fraudulently received a total of 1.7 billion soums from citizens by promising to make money through a business related to wheat products.
He also promised to formalize a land plot belonging to an entrepreneur and received 95 thousand US dollars in return.
In addition, he promised to exchange a citizen's car for a new one, obtained his car, and later sold it to another person. In another case, he secretly entered the house of a citizen who was a close acquaintance and stole a large amount of gold jewelry.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, on June 18, the fake prosecutor was charged under articles of the Criminal Code for fraud and theft and was taken into custody as a precautionary measure.
