The head coach of the Uzbekistan national team Fabio Cannavaro said that he was pleased with the performance of his players after the match against Portugal.
The Italian specialist noted that it is natural that the first participation in the World Cup will not be easy. After the results of the draw were announced, it was clear that Uzbekistan would face difficult matches with strong opponents such as Colombia and Portugal.
“I said after the match against Colombia that I would still be proud of my team, and today I am still proud of my team. The players faced difficulties, but they did not give up for a second,” said Cannavaro.
The coach also noted that this World Cup is a great experience for the Uzbekistan national team.
