Experts noted the success in trade relations between Russia and Tajikistan

A round table dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship between Russia and Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe. It was attended by diplomats and experts in international relations, the press service of the CIS executive committee reports.

The event was organized jointly by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries and the Academy under the President of Tajikistan. At the round table, they discussed the results of the work, as well as the difficulties encountered in the implementation of bilateral projects.

“Security issues remain at the center of our constant attention. This is extremely important in the context of the current situation in Afghanistan. We are consistently building up our interaction in the field of military and military-technical cooperation,” said Ahmad Saidmurodzoda, head of the CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.

The participants noted that trade and economic relations between the countries are developing especially successfully. Trade turnover in 2022 amounted to more than one and a half billion dollars. This is 20% more than a year earlier.
