Uzbekistan and Sweden will develop joint programs for teacher training. Dunya reported about it.
It was reported that a delegation of 24 people from 11 higher education institutions of Uzbekistan visited Stockholm by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Sweden, the Honorary Consulate of Finland in Uzbekistan and the Nordic International University.
As part of the trip, meetings of the Uzbek delegation with Södertjörn University Rector Professor Gustav Amberg, Vice-Rector Professor Anna Maria Jonsson, staff and researchers of the Center for Baltic and East European Studies at this university were organized.
During the negotiations, development of joint programs in the field of pedagogue and teacher training between HEIs of Uzbekistan and Södertjörn University, establishment of teacher and student exchange, organization of short training courses in Sweden, in Tashkent and Stockholm issues of holding joint conferences and seminars and establishing cooperation in a number of other directions were discussed.
Also, the members of the delegation of Uzbekistan visited the Center for Baltic and East European Studies at Södertjörn University, got to know the activities of this center, and exchanged opinions on various issues with professors and doctoral students.
At the end of the visit, important agreements on cooperation in a number of fields were reached with Södertjörn University.
