Erkinjon Turdimov left the post of Governor of Syrdarya and became the Minister of Education and Science.

Erkinjon Turdimov has been appointed First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science. Consequently, he has been relieved of his duties as the Governor of the Syrdarya Region. Sherzod Asadov, the President’s press secretary, announced the news.

By presidential decree, a new position and a Secretariat for Education, Science, and Healthcare have been established within the structure of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The official holding this new position will coordinate activities in the fields of education, science, and healthcare. Responsibility for organizing and overseeing the implementation of tasks in these areas has been assigned to Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration.

Erkinjon Turdimov was born in the Samarkand Region in 1969. He graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics in 1991. During his career, he has been awarded the "Mehnat Shuhrati" (Labor Glory) Order and a medal from an Afghan ministry.
