Erdogan signed the protocol on Sweden's NATO membership

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed the protocol on Sweden's NATO membership.

Initially, Sweden's accession to NATO was delayed due to Ankara's displeasure over the asylum of Kurdish activists in Sweden.

This is reported by the administration of the President of Turkey.

According to the message posted on the page of the Turkish Presidential Administration's communication department on social networks: "On October 23, 2023, the protocol on Sweden's membership in NATO was signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey submitted for discussion".
