Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he will not run for the presidency in 2028. Local elections in the country on March 31 will be the last elections in which he will participate.
"This is the final for me. These elections are my last elections within the framework of the powers given by law. As a result, things will be transferred to my brothers who will come after me," Erdogan said.
He has been leading Turkey as president since 2014.
