Erdogan’s microphone turned off during UN speech

At the UN General Assembly summit on Palestine, the microphone was turned off during Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech. The last minute and a half of his address could not be heard.

This happened while Erdoğan was calling Israel’s actions in Gaza genocide, urging a ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Turkey’s Directorate of Communications explained the incident as part of the standard five-minute time limit, stating there was no other reason.
