Erdogan Arrives in Kazakhstan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Kazakhstan on May 13 to attend the Turkey-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting and the informal summit of the Turkic States Organization. At the airport in Astana, Erdogan was welcomed by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Turkish Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mustafa Kapucu and other officials. Kazakh children also greeted the Turkish president by playing the national "Dombra" melody and saying, "Welcome to your homeland."
