Employee lost her job after donating a kidney to her boss
Debbie Stevens, an American woman, willingly donated one of her kidneys to save her boss's life. However, instead of receiving gratitude after the surgery, she was dismissed from her job.
In an interview, Stevens said she still does not know the exact reason for her dismissal. She described the experience by saying it felt as though she had been hired only to provide her kidney.
Her story is a reminder that kindness is not always repaid with kindness. Even so, the true value of compassion lies not in the response we receive, but in our willingness to help others.
