Emomali Rahmon will take part in the EAEU meeting

Today, May 25, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will take part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council via video link. The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Together with other leaders of the EAEU member countries who arrived in Moscow, he will consider the progress in implementing the priorities of the Russian chairmanship in the association in 2023, RIA Novosti reports.

For the first time, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will take part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council as a guest, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also join via video link, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“Eurasian Economic Cooperation Day… It is important that today the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Heydarovich Aliyev, will take part in the meeting for the first time as a guest. And, in addition, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will join via video link,” Peskov said.
