Emomali Rahmon received Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyaz al-Maliki

Today, on August 29, in the building of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine Riyaz Al-Maliki, the press service of the head of state reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Leader of the Nation welcomed Riyaz Al-Maliki on his visit to Tajikistan and congratulated him on the official opening of the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Dushanbe. In this context, it was emphasized that this step will contribute to the development and expansion of good relations between the parties in various fields.

During the meeting, a set of issues of Tajik-Palestinian cooperation was discussed.

The President of the country, supporting the further development of bilateral relations, stressed the importance of strengthening and improving the legal framework for cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest. At the same time, it was considered useful to expand working contacts between the relevant ministries and structures of the two countries. Various trade and economic sectors, as well as the spheres of culture, science and technology, education and medicine were regarded as promising areas of cooperation.

The parties also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.

In conclusion, the Head of our state, expressing satisfaction with the conversation, wished the brotherly people of Palestine peace, stability, progress and prosperity.
