Emomali Rahmon offered the EU to finance the completion of the Rogun HPP

The leadership of Tajikistan considers it expedient for the EU to participate in financing the construction of the Rogun HPP. President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon made such a proposal at the Central Asia-EU summit in Kyrgyzstan.

“It seems appropriate for European countries to provide investment support to Tajikistan in the field of hydropower, we hope that the European Union, as part of its Global Gateway strategy, will take part in financing the completion of the Rogun HPP, as well as the modernization of existing HPPs,” Rahmon said.
