The head of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, was honorably welcomed at the international airport of Ashgabat.

It is noted that a gangway was laid in front of Emomali Rahmon's plane, and a guard of honor was lined up on both sides of it.

So, at the international airport of the Turkmen capital, the President of Tajikistan was met by the ex-head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The former leader of the republic thanked the current leader of the neighboring country for accepting the invitation to participate in the tripartite negotiations.

In addition, he expressed confidence that the upcoming high-level events would provide an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the prospects for developing a dialogue between the participating States.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and potential for further development of Turkmen-Tajik relations, taking into account the priorities of the socio-economic development of the two republics.

Emomali Rahmon flew to Ashgabat

Earlier, the press service of the President of Tajikistan announced the flight of the head of state to Turkmenistan to participate in the summit.

It is emphasized that Emomali Rahmon is accompanied on a trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
