SpaceX reported on its X social network that the Starship rocket suffered a malfunction during its 9th test flight due to a control system failure. It was reported that on May 27, during the launch of the Starship spacecraft into orbit, the flight altitude control system failed, and communication with the spacecraft was lost 10 minutes after the start of the flight.

Due to technical reasons, the hatch for the release of eight Starlink mini-satellite simulators planned as part of the test did not open.
