Electricity consumption in Tashkent City was reported to increase by 30% in six years

In the last 6 years, the volume of electricity consumption in Tashkent has grown by 30 percent. This was reported by The Tashkent City Municipality.

It is reported that during 2017-2022, the volume of energy consumption by residents of the city of Tashkent and wholesale consumers increased by 30%. Electricity consumption by the population grew dramatically, at 37% compared to 2017.

Also, the positive trend observed by every subscriber of the city of Tashkent (on a counter basis) in the growth of electricity consumption was 21 percent since 2017.

"Electricity consumption in the capital is also significantly affected by the growth in the number of subscribers, an increase of 18% compared with 2017. In addition, the rapid development of the city of Tashkent, the growing standard of living and well-being of the population, economic development have led to an increase in the number of industrial consumers by 34 percent since 2017,” the governor's message said.
