Egypt hit by powerful sandstorm

Severe sandstorms are hitting northwest Egypt. The storms, which are part of the seasonal Hamsin storm, are currently affecting Upper Egypt, Greater Cairo and the Suez Canal. The government has urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel.
