Mirzo Botirov, an employee of the ecology inspectorate, died during an enforcement raid on the Syr Darya River. The National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change announced the incident.
According to reports, during a raid conducted at 11:00 PM on September 9, Botirov encountered resistance from individuals illegally fishing with electric gear and fell into the water. His body was recovered on September 10 following a search operation.
The details of the incident are currently being investigated. Financial and moral support is being provided to the deceased's family. Mirzo Botirov will be awarded the "Nature Protector" badge in recognition of his service and courage.
