Each specialized medical center in Uzbekistan will cooperate with sports federations

At the next videoconference meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev imposed the obligation on the heads of each specialized medical center to conclude an agreement with the sports federation within a month. According to the president, the federations are forced to bring sports doctors, pharmacologists, and dietitians from abroad at high salaries. For example, during the preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympics, doctors from Turkey, Russia, and Germany were involved in surgical operations on about 50 athletes. Now, 5-10 beds will be allocated exclusively for athletes in each specialized medical center. Also, a responsible employee will be appointed in sports federations to work with medicine. This responsible person will examine the health of national team members every month and assess the risk of injury. He will scientifically analyze the athlete's physical load and give medical recommendations to the doctors. The President assigned Khudayorov Ikrom Sharipov to appoint a specialist in sports dietology, physiology and psychology at the Tashkent Medical University and a specialist in healthy nutrition at the Pharmaceutical University starting from the new academic year. It was decided that the Sports Medical Scientific Center in the Olympic Village will become a practice base for students. Currently, training of specialists in sports medicine has been launched at medical universities in Tashkent, Andijan, Bukhara and Samarkand.
