Dushanbe and Hangzhou signed a cooperation agreement

The mayor of Dushanbe discussed with the head of the Chinese city of Hangzhou issues of expanding ties in the field of science and training of scientific personnel

Rustam Emomali, Chairman of the Upper House of the Tajik Parliament, was received by Hangzhou Mayor Han Zheng.

The meeting of colleagues was held as part of the official visit of Rustam Emomali to the People's Republic of China, the press service of the country's parliament reports.

The Mayor of Dushanbe emphasized that friendship and cooperation between the two close neighbors is considered an important foreign policy priority in Tajikistan.

The heads of the two cities discussed the development and prospects for interregional cooperation, taking into account the current opportunities in various sectors of the economy.

The mayors of Dushanbe and Hangzhou agreed to expand ties in such areas as science, training of scientific personnel, innovative technologies, improvement of the transport sector, as well as in industry.

During the meeting, Rustam Emomali and Han Zheng signed a memorandum of understanding on trade, economic and cultural cooperation between the two cities.

Tajikistan and China strengthen transport cooperation

Earlier it was reported that China would provide financial assistance to Tajikistan.

We are talking about an agreement to finance the construction of a conference hall in the complex of the Tajik government. The Chinese side will allocate an amount of $2 million.
