Drunk passenger smashes bus windshield and attacks driver in Tashkent
A drunk passenger attacked the driver of a Route 98 bus and smashed the vehicle's windshield in Tashkent's Chilonzor District.
According to the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred on August 1. A 43-year-old man with a previous criminal record, who was intoxicated, caused a public disturbance on the bus and got into an argument with the driver.
As the driver attempted to remove him from the bus, the man punched the windshield, shattering it, and then struck the driver several times in the face and neck.
A pre-investigation inquiry is currently underway. A legal decision will be made upon completion of the investigation.
