On October 5, drones attacked a military college located in the city of Homs in western Syria. As a result, at least 80 people died, 240 people were injured. This was reported by the Syrian state agency Sana, referring to the Minister of Health Hasan al-Gabbash The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the victims included civilians, including women and children. The head of the Syrian Ministry of Health clarified that six women and six children were killed. According to a Reuters source, at least 100 people were killed in the attack. The attack happened during a graduation ceremony attended by military personnel and their relatives. According to Reuters, Syrian Defense Minister Ali Mahmoud Abbas also participated in the ceremony. According to the agency, he left the event a few minutes before the drone attack.
